Finally, at some point or another, the piece could not be other than it is, and it is done. That moment of completion is also, inevitably, a moment of loss- the loss of all the other forms the imagined piece might have taken." I don't know about your role as an Arts Pastor, but I do know the Symposium was, in fact, a work of art that stemmed from your imagination. It can not be helped that you would experience some moments of loss at its completion. Of course what you do with that sense is entirely up to you (but, I, for one, hope to benefit from what you imagine from here!)
2. I've been hit smack upside the head with my own form of poisonous thinking this past week. I posted it at www.livingpalm.blogspot.com The part referencing "Abba's Child" by Brennan Manning may especially be encouraging.

Happy Weekend to you!tamarahillmurphy.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04557381125830169728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22105457.post-29178647879554044902008-04-18T20:47:00.000-07:002008-04-18T20:47:00.000-07:00Happy Birthday! Glad to have it replaced with the Spirit-breathed one. I need to ask better questions. This one helps me towards that end. Ok, for those of you reading this comment ...Shoot!

Ok, for those of you reading this comment now, what I originally had written was B17 for Pope Benedict 16. Jim has graciously brought my error to my attention and saved me from multi-day embarrassment.

Jim, that's what I get for writing late at night. I put B17 instead of B16 because my sub-conscious mind pulled out a number from decades-ago, childhood card-swapping days. B17 is a Boeing Flying Fortress heavy bomber aircraft. It was one of the cards we traded. Oh man, that's funny.w. david o. taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08048604209388355706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22105457.post-25309558987156350692008-04-18T10:48:00.000-07:002008-04-18T10:48:00.000-07:00Happy Birthday.
