I had a similar thought about the absence of women. I would have liked to have heard the thoughts of some of the female songwriters who write music for the church. Perhaps next time.w. david o. taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08048604209388355706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22105457.post-26184541508847346852010-10-11T11:13:36.377-07:002010-10-11T11:13:36.377-07:00Hey David - I was at the conference, and I had rea...Hey David - I was at the conference, and I had read your book before the conference. I didn't even know you were there. But I was at the panel discussion and I kept thinking, the guy on the left seems to actually have something to say about aesthetic philosophy when others are sort of trying to say something. Later I saw your book at the merch table and thought, oh that guy must of been Taylor. So thanks for your thoughts both in the book and the panel, they've been super helpful!

It was a great conference, and Crawford's music (a formative influence in my life over the last ten years. He has produced and recorded two of my band's records) was a definite highlight.

I will say though, where were the women? We were sorely minus the feminine perspective. It was such a generous place, which made it even more surprising that portion was absent.

www.aaronmitchum.wordpress.comAaron and Pagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08642338937451350601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22105457.post-89406076012414673072010-10-05T21:43:32.040-07:002010-10-05T21:43:32.040-07:00Indeed and indeed.Indeed and indeed.w. david o. taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08048604209388355706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22105457.post-26572983571781274312010-10-05T07:22:00.697-07:002010-10-05T07:22:00.697-07:00This song was my favorite part of the conference. ...This song was my favorite part of the conference. It blew my mind and when I sang "I'm gonna sing my freakin' lungs out" I meant every word, what a beautifully written and appropriate song.Brycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14791773170454342498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22105457.post-63545423581112635002010-10-04T15:40:18.375-07:002010-10-04T15:40:18.375-07:00I agree...the song is epic!I agree...the song is epic!Lisa Cookehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00267828823733715595noreply@blogger.com
